Who AM I?
My name is Glen Leck and I am Head of Business Intelligence at CMAC GROUP who are based in the North West of England.
I’ve worked in the tech industry for over 15 years and my passion is interpreting and encoding raw data into human readable information.
I’m co-organiser of the local Newcastle Power BI User Group, as well as the Newcastle Data Platform and Cloud (DPaC) User Group.
Mission:
This blog is aimed at helping people to create great UI/UX when authoring Power BI reports. The whole report consumption experience is often overlooked by Business Intelligence or Power BI Developers, and sometimes their main focus tends to be around data sourcing, ETL, mashing up data, and security.
These are extremely important things to work on to prepare any report, there is no doubt about that, and the majority of any BI or Power BI Developer’s time is expected to be spent doing this. However, time, care, and thought should also be spent working on the whole report consumption experience, and not just as an after thought. Hopefully my posts can give you some tips to make our reports better.
